Armed with their magical pool cues and working out of The Great Lodge, a living building disguised as a pub (The Pig & Phoenix) and rumoured to have gone senile, Carl, Lola, Johnny and Bert take on a host of supernatural beings on the Lower Richmond Road while trying to rid the world of the infamous magical Eight Ball. Vampires, zombies, fish demons, Time Police and a pan-dimensional indestructible plague of female pirates stand between them and the end of the planet. Can they do it and get back in time to open the pub before a swarm of angry punters have their necks?

Here are several reviews from happy readers:

I’ve just finished this e-book and have to say I was tickled and delighted at how good it was. As others have said, some of the influences/style certainly include Robert Rankin and Terry Pratchett, but the author definitely has her own clear voice. The inventiveness and originality of ideas is certainly worth a mention – setting a pool team up as Vampire Killers where their pub is The Lodge is a marvellous place to start.

I found it an easy and enjoyable ride to keep returning to the book as new characters and events unfurled right through to the apocalyptic showdown at its climax, which neatly sets the ground for a multi-book franchise. Far more accomplished than many a repeat-published author, so well sone AS Thomsen for bringing this into the world and I hope you have another few up your witchy sleeve!   ~MP HARRIS

Quite simply one of the best fictional books I have ever read! Funny, thoughtful, exciting, crazy and full of suspense and wonderful characters. I absolutely LOVE this book. Now reading it for the second time and loving it all over again. I cannot wait for the next book as I am desperate to know what happens next in this mad world. More please!  ~ By Amazon Customer

Dr Who then some meets a quirky night down the pub..Awesome book, the characters jump out of each page with such fond familiarity that you can’t help but have a few favs! Escape into a world where anything can happen…. Brilliant author, can’t wait for more..   ~ Sabrina
